You were created to have a personal relationship with God and to know Him, through His Son, Jesus Christ. We’d love to help you.
The funny thing about love is that it is more than a feeling. Love, in its pure definition, means to be prompt, free, and willing from leaning, advancing, or drawing forward.
Love is an action that is inspired by overwhelming delight.
The Bible tells us that God loves us more than we realize. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
By God’s great and overwhelming love for you, He was moved to action.
The Bible tells us that we were created in God’s own image. Meaning, He made you uniquely different from anything else on this planet and you are the thumbprint of His imagination. He knows you entirely and wants you to know Him and understand Him, so that He may do wonderful things through your life.
God gives those who love and trust in Him peace.
Peace of mind, yes; but the peace that God wants us to grasp is peace with Him.
The Bible tells us that we are sinners. The word sin simply means to miss the mark. This means that there is a gap between our sinful character and God’s righteous character. The Bible says that we are born this and that no amount of good behavior will ever please God because we still have the stain of sin on our lives. And the Bible tells us that “the wages of sin is death”—everlasting separation from God.
But God made Him (Jesus of Nazareth) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. In doing so, God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
It only is through His Son, Jesus, that we receive everlasting life with God. Jesus bridges the gap from man to God. It is in Jesus’ name that any one of us can receive forgiveness for our sins. Jesus, Himself tells us, that He is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Him.
Recognizing your need for a Savior is the beginning, but acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of God's forgiveness is moving in the right direction. For “the Scripture pronounces all things confined by sin, so that by faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.”
Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead, offering you eternal life and salvation.
Now, “repent…be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins,” and “confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead.” Then “you will be saved.”
Jesus isn’t just trying to secure you in heaven, but He wants to encourage you along the way by coming to be with you. Jesus “stands at the door and knocks.” He wants to move into your heart and “make His home in you.” Open the door and receive Him,
Jesus says, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Commit your ways to Jesus.
